Terms & Conditions


We/Translimits: the owner of DutchAncestryCoach.com, located in Kerkenveld, the Netherlands.
You/Client: the person that uses the services of DutchAncestryCoach.com.
Product: one of our services, paid or free.
Request: an order placed by the client for one of our products.


We only accept requests for quotes, coaching, research and translation that have been placed through the according forms on this website. By placing a request you automatically agree to these terms and conditions.

We are allowed to refuse to execute a request. This to be judged by Translimits.

Prices and payment

All prices (in euros) are binding once the client has accepted a quote for or has ordered one of our products. If Translimits wants to alter the price for whatever reason, the client shall be informed after which the client is allowed to break the agreement. If the client breaks the agreement, Translimits is no longer obliged to deliver the agreed product.

All prices are stated in euros and will be charged in euros. Any prices given in other currencies are merely indicative and never binding. When charging in other currencies we will apply the according conversion rate on the date of the invoice.

Prices include shipping costs and Dutch taxes where applicable, unless otherwise stated. Prices do not include international duties and taxes. Any charges for customs clearance, import duties and taxes are payable by the client. Customs policies vary widely between countries. The rates are determined by the customs brokers for each country and paid by the client upon arrival of goods. Translimits cannot determine what these fees may be and we are not liable for any import duties or taxes. Please contact your local customs office for further information.

Payment is due within 14 days of receiving the invoice. Payments can be made via direct bank transfer, credit card and PayPal. Up to date details for payment are supplied in the invoice.

If the client fails to pay the amount due within the established 14 days, Translimits is allowed to charge interest according to Dutch law and hire a collection agency to collect the money. All costs for the collection agency are to be paid by the client.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a purchase within 7 days in which case any prepaid fees will be refunded. If the goods were already delivered within that period you are obliged to return them in their original packaging within 7 days of your cancellation. The post stamp will be regarded by us as date of shipment. Cost of return shipments are for the client and will not be refunded. Any cancelled goods that are not returned as specified will not be refunded.


Reclamations can be sent by e-mail and will by handled as soon as possible and according to Dutch law.


All text and graphics on this site and in our publications are protected by copyright and are not to be copied, published or distributed in any way without written permission from Translimits, unless otherwise stated. All copies we provide from Dutch archives and other Dutch sources are governed by copyright laws. You can only use these for your own genealogical research. You need written permission from the copyright holder to publish these documents including (but not limited to) a personal genealogical website or book.


We do not sell your private data to others. We do use your data to contact you with offers and information about our own services. If you do not wish to receive these offers and information you can let us know and we will not contact you anymore about these matters.

All data we supply on people dead or alive on your request are governed by Dutch privacy laws. You are not allowed to make public any data you have acquired through our services on living persons. You are not allowed to make public any data about dead persons that might incriminate living relatives.


We are not liable for any damage that you could experience from using our website or services. You expressly use them at your own risk. We are not liable for any damage our clients cause by breaking privacy or copyright laws.


Any disputes will be handled according to Dutch law, through a court chosen by Translimits.
