- Addresses
Indicates wHether the addresses of ancestors found in records are included in your report. Keep in mind though that addresses cannot always be found, especially before 1811.
- Back to
We aim to trace your family back to the period stated here, however, no guarantees can be given. Sometimes records simply cannot be found because they do not exist anymore, or research can reveal an adoptive or foundling ancestor that makes following the ancestral line impossible. However, rest assured that we will spare no effort to find what we can.
- Birth, marriage and death
Indicates whether dates of these events are included in your report if available.
- Children
Indicates whether the children of each direct male ancestor are included in your report.
- Criminal details
Indicates whether we run a check for criminal records. If the search yields results, then these are included in your report.
- Digital report
You always receive your report as a digital PDF file. Some reports include a printed copy as well. See “Printed report” below.
- Down payment
We do not ask for a down payment. You pay the full fee on delivery of the report. - Emigration details
Indicates whether we search for your emigrating ancestors on passenger lists and naturalization records. - Family crest
Indicates whether we check for a family crest. Note that we only include a crest if you in fact descend from the noble family the crest belongs to. Many companies sell family crests in bulk giving the impression that virtually every family had one. Actually, real family crests are quite rare, but if your family is entitled to carry one, we will find it and include it in your report. - Family tree diagram
All reports include a family tree diagram that gives you a structured overview of your family at a glance.
- Historical context
This is a description of historical, cultural and geographical details that place each direct ancestor in the context of his or her time.
- Lineages
A lineage is a logical sequence of male ancestors (father, grandfather, great-grandfather, etcetera). You can, however, also opt for a female lineage tracing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, etcetera.
- Maps
Historical maps of the places where your ancestors lived are included in your report when available.
- Occupations
Indicates whether the occupations of your ancestors are included in your report. Keep in mind though that occupations can not always be found.
- Payment on delivery
We do not ask for a down payment. You pay the full fee on delivery of the report. - Possessions
Indicates whether we will search for property that belonged to your ancestors. Keep in mind though that not all ancestors possessed things valuable enough to be recorded.
- Printed report
The Basic and Premium reports include a printed copy of your report. For Mini packages a printed copy can be included at an additional fee. This is a soft cover, full-color book.
- Record copies
Indicates whether copies of original records are included in your report. How many and which depends on the availability of records for your family.
- Shipping
We charge no shipping fees, even if you order a printed copy.
- Sources
We always state on which records we base our conclusions and where these records can be found. This is important not only for retrieval and verification purposes, but it may also be a requirement if you participate in a pioneer certificate program or wish to become a member of certain genealogical societies.
- Spouse
Indicates whether vital details for one or all spouses per ancestor are included.
- Surname explanation
All reports include an explanation of what your Dutch surname means in English, where in the Netherlands it is most prevalent and how many people still carry that name today.
